Center is attached with snaps.  You can be switched out for some thing more solid or short depending on your needs.
The fleece covers are not fluffy fleece.
 
Use with caution and proper supervision. Horses can lose balance, fall, rear, or jump when reacting to hobble pressure, potentially causing injury to both horse and handler.
